Fillers
As we age, our skin loses its youthful appearance, but fillers can restore the look of youthfulness to the face, lips, neck and hands. Fillers are used for several reasons, including:
1) After the procedure, patients are able to return to their daily activities immediately.
2) Immediate results.
3) A quick and easy procedure that can be done during an office visit with no or little downtime.
We use the safest and most advanced FDA-approved products. Dermal fillers help to support the skin, protect it from sagging, stimulate collagen production, and rejuvenate skin cells restoring freshness to it
Before the procedure
Consulting with a professional is the first step in achieving your aesthetic goals. During the consultation, the appropriate product type and number is determined and expectation is discussed.
Before getting the injections, you may need ice, an anesthetic applied to the skin, or other means based on the site to be treated.
Expectations
The outcome may vary based on the filler used, the part of the body to be treated, and your medical history. Here are some general guidelines about what you can expect:
● Filler treatments usually take 15 to 30 minutes and require only one visit.
● You may feel a stinging or stretching sensation during the injection. This is normal and should subside after a few seconds.
● Fillers are substances injected into the skin to fill in wrinkles and folds, which can give you immediate results.
● Filler injections can also stimulate the body to produce collagen. The results last for a period ranging from 4 to 12 months, depending on the products used and other factors such as smoking, darkening of the skin color resulting from exposure to the sun, and significant weight loss.
● Fillers do not affect most people’s ability to perform daily living activities.
After the procedure
We recommend the
following:
●
After your
procedure, wait 24 hours before doing any strenuous physical activity.
●
To protect your
skin, try to avoid the sun, avoid tanning beds and other tanning procedures.
●
Do not touch the
treated area for three days following treatment, unless instructed otherwise by
your doctor.
●
Some patients
may experience mild side effects at the injection site. These side effects are
usually temporary and may include redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising.
